The City’s Neighborhood Watch groups, in coordination with L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept and L.A. County Fire Dept as well as Public Safety and Recreation Services and Special Events Divisions, will hold the annual evening events and social gatherings in neighborhoods throughout West Hollywood with block parties, barbecues, entertainment and dancing.

It’s hot all about the USA, except in L.A.’s basin between the Santa Monica Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. It’s hot in Washington, where politicians can’t come together with an agreement to raise the debt ceiling. It’s hot in Florida, Texas and many places across the country that will feel the pain of the end of the space shuttle program.

Toys provide a blank canvas for us to interject our own role-playing needs, a mean to solve problems and answer questions… a way to safely explore what sometimes worries and frightens us.
