Essay by Carleton Cronin, West Hollywood, California (June 24, 2010) The Ahmanson"s stage rocked and resounded as the current revival of one of Broadway's premier musicals, South Pacific. As always is true when seeing a play, or reading a book, for the second time, nuances missed at the initial encounter become startlingly evident. So it was for me at this performance.
